Purpose
This module provides an introduction to ethical considerations in reproductive medicine and in the treatment and care of patients. It is designed for use in Trinity Health and is consistent with Catholic tradition, the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services, Fourth Edition and standard ethical principles.

Target Audience
The primary audiences for this ethics module include those involved in obstetrics and gynecology, clinical ethics committee members, and administrators on call.

Secondary audiences include others involved in patient care and management.

Goal
To enhance clinical care at the beginning of life through greater awareness and knowledge of ethical principles and decision making processes.
